Wyatt is now eight months old. He is doing very well. His first tooth, on the bottom, is now all the way in, and a few more seem close to popping out. Wyatt sits up and scoots well. He is trying to crawl with his tummy off the ground, but he is not quite there yet. He is babbling more than ever. Last month mainly involved activities around town with family and friends.

Evan is now 33 months (2 years and 9 months) old. He has had a very busy month. The big event was a trip to visit family in southeastern Wisconsin and Tampa, Florida. Evan had a great time spending time with family members and seeing the sights. He rode the Air Grover roller coaster at Busch Gardens seven times.

Right after returning home, Evan started his second year at Katonah Playcare. He is also taking gymnastics and music classes on the two weekday mornings he does not go to school. It makes for a fairly busy week for the whole family.

Wyatt is now seven months old. He can sit up on his own, at least for short periods at a time, and he is getting his first tooth, which is on the bottom of his mouth. Last month was very eventful. Wyatt took his first three trips on an airplane, flying to southeastern Wisconsin, Tampa, Florida, and back to LaGuardia in New York. Wyatt seemed to have a great time on the big trip, and he did very well on all the flights.

Evan is now 32 months (2 years and 8 months) old. He has had another busy month. He visited various zoos and museums around the greater New York area. The highlight of the month was a visit to Nonna’s beach house on Long Island near Sag Harbor, NY. He enjoyed being in and near the water. He also enjoys spending time in the Bedford town pools, though the weather cut down the pool time somewhat. Both of Evan’s day camps also ended. Evan especially enjoyed his time at American Gymnastics (“gym camp”). He will be starting a class there in a few weeks on a day when there is no school.

Wyatt is six months old. He weighs 18 pounds, 12 ounces and is 27″ tall. He is around the 75th percentile for weight and the 70th percentile for height. He is perfecting his rolling and is starting to roll as a means of locomotion. Last month was fairly quiet for Wyatt, mostly involving playing at home on the mat and riding in the car. Next month will be more eventful with trips to Wisconsin and Florida planned.

Evan is 31 months (2 years and 7 months) old. He has been having a good summer. He is going to two day camps, two days per week each. He especially likes the camp at American Gymnastics, where he gets to play on the gym equipment and with the foam blocks at the end of each morning there. Evan has also been going to the pool once in a while with family and friends.

Wyatt is five months old. He weighs 18 pounds, 3 ounces, and is 27″ tall. Both measurements are around the 90th percentile. He can now roll both ways, front to back and back to front. He enjoys traveling around town with Mom and brother Evan and especially likes being anywhere Evan is.

Evan is now 2-1/2 years old. He is 37-3/4″ tall and weighs 33 pounds, putting him in the 86th and 82nd percentiles, respectively. Last week marked the end of his first year of preschool. Some school pictures are available on the “Still More Playcare” page. Evan had a typically busy month last month, including a birthday party, a carnival, and plenty of time spent outside at various playgrounds and the town pool. Although the preschool year is over, Evan will continue to have class time over the summer at two different day camps.

Here is the final batch of pictures for the school year from Evan’s preschool, Katonah Playcare. These photos are from the spring through the end of the year. Thanks again to Evan’s teacher, Miss Joanna, for taking the pictures and for sharing them with us. Evan plans to return to Miss Joanna’s room at Katonah Playcare in September.

Wyatt is now four months old. At his regular check-up last week, he weighed 16 pounds, 10 ounces and was 26″ long. His growth is slowing down slightly against the curves, but those numbers are still in the 89th and 87th percentiles, respectively. Wyatt is starting to be able to reach out and grab things. His favorite activity continues to be watching his big brother, no matter what Evan is doing. Although Wyatt is not sleeping through the whole night yet, he sleeps soundly at night and and into the morning.
