Evan is now 3 years and 4 months (40 months) old. He had a very exciting month. He enjoyed a week of activities to celebrate Easter, he spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying balmy Spring weather, and he visited his grandparents in Wisconsin and Florida. Click on the links to see pictures from those visits. He also rode a ferry on the Hudson River and went to the New York International Auto Show.

Wyatt was 14 months old on April 22. He had a very eventful month. He enjoyed a week of activities to celebrate Easter, he spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying balmy Spring weather, and he visited his grandparents in Wisconsin and Florida. Click on the links to see pictures from those visits. He also received his first haircut.

Wyatt made a lot of progress walking last month, and is now getting around very well on foot. He is also trying to talk, attempting a few words including “bye-bye,” “ball,” and “cookie.” He definitely understands words and sometimes will do what Mom and Dad ask him to do.

Mom and Dad and Evan and Wyatt took a trip to Tampa, Florida in April to visit Abuelo and Abuela. While in Tampa, Evan and Wyatt and Mom and Dad went to a couple of places they had not visited before, the Lowry Park Zoo and the Florida Aquarium, and everyone spent a morning wading in the hotel swimming pool.

Mom and Dad and Evan and Wyatt took a quick trip to Wisconsin in April to help Grandpa/Great Grandpa Harvey celebrate his 90th birthday. While in Wisconsin, Evan and Wyatt got to spend time with their cousins Braeden and Nathan, including a nice trip to the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison.

Evan is 3-1/4 years (39 months) old. His last month was fairly quiet. He took advantage of the unseasonally warm weather by spending a lot of time playing outdoors with friends old and new. There have been some home improvement projects going on at home, and Evan enjoys seeing the progress and watching the workers.

Wyatt is now 13 months old. After all the excitement of his birthday week, the past month has been relatively quiet. Wyatt’s milestones this month included starting to try to feed himself with a fork, sippy cup, and bottle. Wyatt takes a step once in a while but is not quite walking yet. He has been spending time in the park with the family thanks to the unusually warm weather. There are not a lot of photos from the past month. Some of the better ones are included in the attached gallery.

Wyatt enjoyed nearly a week of festivities to celebrate his first birthday. He received many fun gifts and enjoyed yummy treats, including ice cream and cupcakes.

Evan is three years and two months (38 months) old. Although it has been a warm and dry winter, Evan spent a lot of time in the snow in the past month. He sledded, he made snowballs and a snowman, and he started to learn how to ski. He and his family went to Mohawk Mountain in Connecticut, Catamount in the southern Berkshires, and Gore Mountain in the New York Adirondacks. Evan has also been going to one or two birthday parties nearly every weekend.

Wyatt is one year old. Happy First Birthday, Wyatt! He is 30.5″ long and weighs 21.75 pounds, which are in about the 75th and 55th percentiles. Wyatt had a busy final month of his first year with us. The family spent quite a bit of time away from the house, a lot of it trying to find snow in this warm and dry winter. Wyatt is trying hard to speak and may be using a couple of words as words, including “bye-bye.” He stands well and easily but is not quite ready to take that first step yet. He is growing well and has a healthy appetite, including for some “grown up” food.

Evan is 37 months (3 years and 1 month) old. Evan had an extremely busy month, highlighted by multiple birthday celebrations with different people in different places. His final birthday party was a slightly belated gathering with many of his friends at a gymnastics facility called Jodi’s Gym. Everyone had a great time. Evan’s travels last month took him all over the area, including to an indoor water park, to a live action Thomas and Friends show and model train show at the New York Botanical Garden, to a children’s museum, and to a boat show. And there was some snow a few days ago, the first in nearly three months, in which Evan enjoyed playing.
